In most cases we can survey within a few days and give you a written price the same day. Removal itself is usually one to three days depending on how much foam is up there and how it was applied. You get the report and certification at the end, which is the bit the surveyor or lender is waiting for.
A straightforward loft is a day. If the old insulation has to come out first, or the loft is part boarded, allow a day and a half. We will tell you which it is at the survey rather than on the morning.
Yes. It comes out, the loft space gets vacuumed, and it leaves with us. Carpets and the landing are sheeted before anyone goes up, and hoovered afterwards.
We look outside before we look inside. A lot of what gets diagnosed as rising damp turns out to be pointing, a blocked air brick or a failed gutter. We set out what we have found, what needs doing and why, before any work is priced.
